Beaches in Javea
Javea's 25km of internationally renowned coastline
is home to beautiful beaches, coves and caves.
Arenal
Javea's most popular beach (currently awarded with an EU Blue Flag), which sits in front of a lively promenade of shops, bars and restaurants. El Arenal is wide, sandy and great for families; there are plenty of activities nearby.
La Granadella
Secluded cove to the south of Javea, with a few decent restaurants overlooking the pebble beach. A favourite with snorkellers and scuba divers, La Granadella is deservedly popular but it can get busy, and parking is limited.
La Barraca O Portitxol
Large pebble cove looking out to the Isle of Portitxol. Take the beautiful walk down to the beach from Creu del Portitxol. The shallow waters surrounding the cove makes it ideal for snorkling. There are a small selection of restaurants behind the beach.
Cala Blanca
Cala Blanca is a small beach surrounded by white cliffs, near an intricate layout of rockpools. The beach is rather isolated and can only be reached on foot, although there is parking nearby.
La Grava
Located near Javea Port, this shingle beach is situated a few minutes walk away from a number of restaurants and is the closest beach to Javea's historic old town.
Ambolo
A secluded pebble cove just south of Cap de la Nau, the nearest point between the mainland and the island of Ibiza. This beach is popular with naturists.
